TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY: Authorities tell Daily News they’ve got quite a case on their hands this evening. A local 4-year-old reportedly shot and seriously wounded a 6-year-old playmate of his while playing outside today, with the help of a .22 caliber.
The child, unidentified, reportedly got the gun from inside of his families Toms River home whereas it almost immediately ‘accidentally’ went off while he was pointing it at his friend.
The victim, identified as Brandon Holt was about 15 yards from the other younger child at the time of being shot. The mother, unidentified, was the one who phoned police.
Holt remains in critical condition, Daily News has been unable to retrieve further details on his condition as of this evening.
